The final presentation of the day was Sony’s and the current market leader wasted no time in delivering announcements on some of the biggest games coming to the PlayStation 4 over the next year and beyond. From big first party games, huge third party

Before we get started though I want to point out that Sony’s conference was very rapid fire with many game trailers shown but not lots of details on these titles. So, unlike my usual blabbing I don’t have too much to say about these announcements.titles and everything in between. So, as we always do, here is our recap of Sony’s E3 presentation.

The very first game shown off is the Uncharted spinoff – Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. We got see some of the game’s puzzles, combat and story. The game will release on August 22nd. Another 2017 title is an expansion coming for Horizon: Zero Dawn titled The Frozen Wilds. The game will focus on a new area of the world and be released sometime in 2017.

One game we did get to see an extended look at is Days Gone. We got to see a whole new look at the game’s various combat mechanics from vehicle gameplay, to hand to hand combat and stealth gameplay. We then got a look at a major third party title coming to the PlayStation 4 in early 2018 from Capcom with Monster Hunter: World. The game looks to take some of the elements of past Monster Hunter games and update them for modern consoles.

We then got to see a remake of one of Sony’s most beloved titles – Shadow of the Colossus. The game will feature stunning visuals and release sometime in 2018. You can check out the full trailer below. This was followed by a story trailer for the upcoming Marvel VS. Capcom: Infinite. The game will be released on September 19th. Before the topic changes to PSVR we also got a brand new story trailer for Call of Duty: WWII which will release on November 3rd.

The PlayStation VR also got some time in the limelight with several big game announcements. Here’s what was shown for the accessory.

  • Skyrim VR
  • Star Child
  • The Impatient
  • Monster of the Deep: Final Fantasy XV (Sept 10th 2017)
  • Bravo Team
  • Moss

We also (finally) got a fresh look at the upcoming God of War game, showcasing much of the story, setting and combat of Kratos’ new adventure. The new game will be released in early 2018. Next we got a look at another long in development PS4 title with Detroit: Become Human showcasing some of the game’s story and gameplay. The game will also be coming in 2018.

Destiny 2 may be a multiplatform title but the game is getting tons of exclusive PlayStation content including a new Strike Map, gear, weapons and PVP arena. Destiny 2 will release on September 6th. The show closed with an extended look at Spider-Man, the upcoming game from Insomniac. We got to see tons of gameplay and set-piece moments for the game. Spider-Man will be released sometime in 2018.

And that wraps it up for Sony’s conference and our E3 2017 coverage for the day! Make sure to tune in tomorrow for a recap of Nintendo’s E3 show.
