Nintendo fans, I hope your bodies are ready because it’s almost time for a new Nintendo Direct as the the company will be hosting a new presentation to showcase 3DS and Switch titles coming in ‘the next few months’ with a special focus on Super Mario Odyssey. So as we usually do when these types of events are announced we here at Link-Cable put on our thinking caps and came up with some predictions as to what we’ll see tomorrow. To shake things up a bit we decided to make a couple of predictions, one that we feel is likely to happen and the other that, while awesome if it happens would be a bit of stretch.

Alex S. – Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Gets a Release Date

This is probably the safest prediction I could come up with but its about time we get a final release date for Xenoblade Chronicles 2. It’s the only first party Switch game still coming in 2017 (allegedly) that we still have no idea when we will get our hands on it. My bet is that, like Xenoblade Chronicles X before it, it will be releasing in December, maybe alongside a nice collector’s edition or even Rex and Pyra themed amiibo.

Jacob S. – amiibo…

If there is anything that I’ve learnt with the last few Nintendo Directs and presentations is that Nintendo love to push out more amiibos with their upcoming releases. Expect to see more amiibo for the Fire Emblem series to go along with Fire Emblem Warriors with the possibility of the start of the Xenoblade line, and more from the Mario line to go along with Mario Odyssey. Honestly, it isn’t a “fun” pick and ¬†quite honestly, Nintendo could start doing more with its toy to life series before putting out more, but it seems like a safe bet we will see more of the figurines tomorrow.

Alex S. – Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo Switch Teased

Take my word for it, Super Smash Bros. is coming to the Nintendo Switch, likely in 2018. The only thing left to know is what shape it will take and what new features we will found in this new Deluxe version. New characters? Stages? Modes? We need to know Nintendo! and it’s high time you showed us the goods!

Jacob S. – Bayonetta 1/2 Pack or The Wonderful 101 Ports Announced

With the “announcement” of a club pack of Platinum Games’ fast pace action games – Bayonetta and Vanquish for both the PS4 and Xbox One, it seems fitting that the Nintendo Switch gets a bit on the action. Platinum Games has strongly hinted of a potential port from either Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 as well as The Wonderful 101 could be in the works it would seem like the right time to make those teases into reality. Not enough people had the change to enjoy both Bayonetta 2 and or The Wonderful 101 on the Wii U and the Nintendo Switch could give these great titles a new home… and while we are at it, might as well throw in more amiibos too.

And those are our picks! What do you think Nintendo will show off tomorrow? Let us know in the comments below!
